The Walsenburg Police Department is committed to upholding public safety and the rule of law, while respecting the rights and dignity of all individuals. In coordination with the Department of Homeland Security, our department may aid in matters related to Immigration Enforcement when required by law or when it directly relates to public safety concerns. We remain focused on fostering trust within our diverse community and ensuring that all residents, regardless of Immigration status, feel safe reporting crimes and accessing essential services. Our role in these matters is strictly limited and guided by applicable federal, state, and local laws, as well as department policy.
